Sunday's LessonSomething that I really like about the church that I go to is the fact that they are very involved in missions and in sending people out into the world to proclaim the truth and the Good News of Jesus Christ.

In Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus is giving his final instructions to the disciples before he returns to sit at the right hand of the Father.

Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'” Matthew 28:18-20

We are told to Go! Now I think that there are times where God does tell us to go and times where He says to stay and pray for those that are going. Yesterday we got to hear about all the different things that people  that have gone have gotten to do. I think that it’s totally amazing that some of these people have left everything that they’ve known in order to fulfill the calling that has been put on their hearts. If you are seriously considering going on a trip of any length, please pray about it before hand. It takes a lot out of you. There will be days where you can no longer continue. That’s whenever God gets to really step in and fully take over. And Oh, it’s so wonderful whenever He does.

Even if it’s just one trip, I think that everyone should go on at least one mission trip on their lives. It will completely change how you process things!
